Hello

My name is Anthony. I live in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, and work as a mechanical engineer. When I'm not doing that, most of the time you will find me outside, climbing rocks.

What is this website all about?

Ultimately, it's to share images and stories from some of the places I have been.

Firstly, it was the photos that inspired me; a climber on the golden granite of the Aiguille du Midi South Face - the rolling glaciers below and Mont Blanc du Tacul in the background. This image drew me to Chamonix. I wanted to go climb that!

And eventually, I did!

I get so excited when I capture moments of climbers in dramatic, improbable positions.

I think Mikey Schaefer sums it up pretty well in the video "Force":

The photos I've taken... for me are definitely the way that I can communicate my experiences, and what I've done and what I see. I want people to look at my photos and be like, wow! I want to go do that!

I have been captivated by Mikey and many other's photography over the years, and this has motivated me to get out, explore places, and have my own adventures. Over the years, I have started to accumulate a decent collection of my own images and stories. Rather than having them lie dormant in a forgotten OneDrive folder - the modern equivalent of the dusty photo album on the shelf - I have started this platform to share them, and to recount the pathway I took to learning how to climb.

And maybe (just maybe!), I can pay forward the stoke, and you'll get inspired by what you see here to explore some of the incredible landscapes this planet has to offer, and experience the life-enriching adventures that await.
